I have recently gotten the joy to babysit a certain lil girl (I'm not sure if I can technically say she's lil because she is 11...but that's lil in my book) and she is hysterical!
Yesterday was the 3rd time I've gotten to "hang out" (as she calls it) with her and it was the most interesting time I've ever experienced while babysitting...well there was that one time where the girl screamed...that's another terrifying story for later...
Anyway...yesterday she was bored because she had been home all day so she had thought about going over to her friend's house, BUT she came up with a completely random idea...and you will never guess what came out of this girl's mouth...
"Let's have a doggie wedding!"
Yep, she seriously said that! I was a little hesitant because after that phrase, she headed straight for her mother's fabric/sewing/art room to find material. We were going to make the clothing.
I bet you can guess the look that probably came over my face when she said this... O.O <-me
But, then she described how she made the clothing, so I relaxed a bit, but still...we were using her mom's fabric, and I had to trust that this little girl was allowed to use the fabric she used. All I could keep thinking was: "This is going to be interesting...for sure!"
She dressed up in one of her father's old suits (this was adorable! It was too big for her but she looked so cute!) and I was wrapped in some sparkly blue fabric and the ceremony commenced!!
-music and all-
The bride was dressed in an original Krista design with a pink veil and the groom was in an original Clementine design with a hat borrowed from another stuffed animal. It was honestly the most precious thing I've ever been a part of! We danced at the after party with the bride and groom and ended the night watching Crocodile Dundee.
Awesome night. Awesome girl. Awesome doggie wedding. :)
